I knew I wasn’t talking to myself! When I was a little boy I wanted to play in the NBA and would watch hours and hours of video and then go outside and practice everything I saw. Contrary to what my brothers will tell you, I was pretty darn good! Surprisingly, after getting cut from my college basketball team my freshman year, I had to quickly figure out what I was going to do. For as long as I could remember all I wanted to do was play basketball. After much thought, I knew I didn’t want to return home, but I had no idea what else gave me that much excitement. I spent hours “soul searching” but to no avail I was stuck! Have you ever had that feeling of being “stuck” and unsure which direction to go? It took me several years and numerous failed attempts to finally find what I truly was excited about. And now that I’ve found it, I want to help you tap into that part of you that has been dormant for quite some time. You see, your college experience is supposed to be enriching, adventurous and even full of personal growth. But once, you’ve had all the fun and served on every possible school committee, what is it you desire? How will you leave your stamp on the world?
In reaching personal success you must first understand WHO YOU ARE and second EMBRACE the DIFFERENCES of everyone around you. It is easier said than done, but that’s why I put the basketball down – so I could meet you on your journey and help you strategize on how to reach the success you’ve dreamed of! The best part of what I do is traveling speaking to college audiences about healthy relationships, diversity, and inclusion and living an authentic life. As a relationship architect and lifestyle coach, I have had the privilege of authoring my first book entitled, Pillow Talk – Essential Conversations for a Lasting Relationship. Most recently, I authored Epiphany – 101 Relationship Inspirations for College Students. This book provides insightful messages designed to help and inspire college students to look through a lens that allows them to reflect on their past relational choices, focus on making better decisions for the future and prepare them to maintain stronger, healthier relationships. My most recent project, The Morning After speaker series is an interactive dialog between men and women around relationship habits, styles, and preferences. If you are on FIRE to reach beyond what you see in front of you, invite me to your school and I will show you how!
